All cadets attending Raiders Camp beginning on Monday, August 11th should have received an email from Lt. Jason Sharp regarding items to bring to camp. Cadets should check their SJNMA email account for details.
Here are highlights of the email:
Registration will begin at 0830 with a briefing in the Chapel. Reporting uniform is Full ACUs W/Boots. Be sure to have a squared away hair cut and clean shave as there wont be any time to get one when you arrive.
Hydrate now! Starting the day prior will do nothing for you. Avoid sodas and other sugary beverages this week.
If you have been working out (shame on you if not), you should rest, recover, and stretch starting at least two days prior to arrival. You will not make any gains during those days leading up to the first PT Test.
If you did not purchase a camelbak, bring a durable water source with you (Nalgene Bottle for example).
There won't be any food allowed in the barracks so don't bring any. That can wait until after camp. You will have plenty of chow and fruit available to you throughout the day.
If you ARE attending Cadre, you should bring all of your Cadet items and belongings with you so as to ease the transition on Friday.
If you ARE NOT attending Cadre, you can bring your stuff now or later during the appropriate Cadet Registration.
That being said, Raider Camp is officially complete at 1330 on Friday. If you ARE NOT attending Cadre, you will be allowed to go home and return during the appropriate registration (at which point you can bring the rest of your belongings). You will NOT be allowed to go off on your own without a parent/guardian. You must officially sign out with one of the Raider Instructors.
For those of you not bringing all of your Cadet Items, for Camp you will simply need ACUs, Boots, socks and underwear (enough for two weeks!), a water source, and any comfort items like pillows, sheets, toiletries, etc.
Parents: All events up to 130PM on Friday 15AUG are closed events. If you need to contact me during camp, please email me at jsharp@sjnma.org or call the Camp Office at 262-646-7221. Please know that I will not be in the office very often as I will be with the Raiders conducting training.
