Advent Lessons & Carols Dessert Buffet

WHAT:  Advent Lessons & Carols Dessert Buffet

WHEN:  Sunday, December 14, 2014

It is a tradition for Parents Club to provide a dessert buffet for the cadets, staff and guests at the Advent Lessons & Carols. This is a beautiful event in which we all come together to make our son’s last week of school extra special before they leave for Winter Break.  After dinner, we strive to provide more than enough treats so that leftovers may be served for dessert the remainder of the week. The idea is to give the cadets some of the delicious treats that they would enjoy if they were at home.


Bakers
  1. Bake holiday treats for the buffet.
  2. Email mplese624@gmail.com to inform her of type and amount of treats you will be bringing.
  3. Drop-off on Sunday, 12/14/14,  after lunch or before 3 p.m.
  4. It is preferable to bring them on a tray ready to serve. Disposable works great; otherwise, please label your tray and remember to pick it up before you leave on Sunday evening.

Buyers
  1. Purchase holiday treats for the buffet.
  2. Email mplese624@gmail.com to inform her of the type and amount of treats you will be bringing.
  3. Drop off on Sunday, 12/14/14, after lunch or before 3 p.m.

Set-up Helpers (approximately 2 pm - 4 pm)
  1. Place desserts around the dining hall, arrange signs and labels, etc.

Clean-up Committee (after dinner until completed)
  1. Collect remaining desserts and put on school trays (they get relocated to a rack that Foodservice will store in kitchen and use throughout the week).

NOTE TO BAKERS AND BUYERS:  We can provide you a receipt (upon request) from SJNMA for your donation, so it is important that Mary Plese has an accurate list of your contribution.
